The Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP) has announced that they will no longer accept new applications for rental assistance after March 31, 2022. The program was created as a means to provide assistance to renters during the Covid-19 pandemic.
ERAP has received over 30,000 applications for assistance over the past year, and has distributed over $80 million in rent and utility assistance to individuals and families who have faced challenges due to Covid-19.
They are still accepting new applications and requests for additional months of assistance through the end of March. You can submit a new application or request additional payments on their website, https://covidrentrelief.alleghenycounty.us/ .
